After spending 4 months in Taiwan and 3 months in Israel, I finally head up to my third case study in Estonia. My interest for cross-cultural research in urban science in growing since I already start to find some insights from the comparison of the Smart-City strategies of these three very different cultures and territories.

In the last decades the Estonian state has become very famous, for its remarkable digital transition and for being a forerunner in the e-state public services, before all the rest of the world realizes they will have to do it too. By doing so, they made their capital city Tallinn a hot place for startups and a cross-road for digital nomads. Attracting worldwide entrepreneurs aiming to benefit from the European Union legal frame, updated with a convenient no-paper administrative policy.

Plan :

  1. Long history of Estonia, lately independent
    - Prehistory and history of the Eastern Baltic Sea
