GRASSROOTS MOVEMENTS: The motivation of American, Taiwanese and Russian civic-hackers compared

Goals:
After sounding out my French LinkedIn network to evaluate their ability to engage in decision-taking on local urban planning, concluding that they would love to engage more but don’t have the time and think it would be easier to do it by dedicated web tools, I analyzed 100 civic-tech case studies around the world, which establish the basis of a young growing market conducted by young educated leaders, sensitized to political issues on- and off-line.
In view of some of them, leaned on huge volunteer workforces, I wanted to know more about these participants’ motivation, bearing in mind that if they’re vital to some influent organizations, it would be useful to know what makes them want to engage more everyday.
